Coach Nick Rolovich

Speaking Engagements

“I am proud and privileged to coach Hawaii’s football team. It is a unique opportunity to guide and challenge these young men not only in their athletic abilities, but also in their character. In effect, preparing them today to be better husbands, fathers, and community leaders of tomorrow—to be ‘Men of Aloha.’ My hope, is that we can cultivate that ‘Live Aloha Play Warrior’ spirit so that it naturally extends into spontaneous acts of aloha to others. (When we do this it becomes contagious!) This spirit of aloha and giving-first, to me, is at the core of Ho’ea–The Foundation’s practice of ‘Paying it Forward.’ I am teaming with them so that, together, we can inspire others.”

Speaker Request Process

Ho‘ea — The Foundation is honored that Coach Nick Rolovich has made us a part of his team. Together we have established a process that aims to balance appropriate combinations of organizations and projects to benefit the community. This page explains the process which is designed to optimize the time spent by prospective organizations and foundation staff.  A process to address for-profit organizations is currently under review.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order to request Coach Nick Rolovich as a speaker at your event, an organization must be invited by Coach Rolovich to submit an application through the Foundation.

All applications, in order to be considered, must comply with rules governing student athletes.

Coach Rolovich supports our process to cultivate and foster a culture of giving through “Paying it Forward.” Thus, applicants are requested to designate a “third party” project to which they could volunteer their time and talents. Ideally, the "third party" project would be conducted within three months of the speaking engagement. This “third party” must be recognized by the IRS as being described in Section 501(c)(3) and 509 (a)(1) or 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Suggested “Third Party” Organizations: Our own university lower campus athletic facilities and surroundings, YO! (Youth Outreach), Path Clinic, Hawaii Humane Society, Safe Haven.
